The Sigmastar SSC308DE is a highly integrated, high-resolution SoC chip designed for intelligent video recording with low power consumption. It is suitable for applications such as IPC cameras and other battery-powered devices.

The SSC308DE is equipped with a dual-core Cortex-A32 processor, which operates at a maximum frequency of 1GHz. Although the A32 processor does not support 64-bit instruction sets, its energy efficiency is 10% higher than that of the 64-bit-enabled low-power A35 processor. Additionally, the A32 integrates idle power management functionality, which reduces power consumption when the CPU is in an idle state. Under full operation (1GHz frequency with all modules activated), each core consumes no more than 75mW. This makes the chip particularly suitable for high-performance embedded and IoT applications that require operating system support.

Meanwhile, the SSC308DE also incorporates a lower-power ARM Cortex-M4 processor, which supports a low-power IDLE mode. This feature is essential for applications that require "always-on" functionality.

The SSC308DE has 1Gb of built-in DDR3L memory and a high-performance ISP (Image Signal Processor). The ISP supports 8MP (3840×2160) cameras. Its advanced H.264/H.265 encoders enable video encoding at 2160p@30fps, and it also supports IVE (Intelligent Video Encoding) technology and lens distortion correction (LDC) for video encoding. The built-in IPU (Image Processing Unit) provides computing power for multiple detection algorithms, including human, vehicle, pet, and package detection.
